Hello Everyone! I am sharing my views on the topic related to the ethical issues in finance or accounting.
Ethics- The discipline dealing with what is good and bad and with moral duty and obligation. General ethical norms include truthfulness, honesty, integrity,respect for others, fairness and justice.They relate to all aspects of life, including business and finance. Financial ethics,is therefore,a part of general ethics.
The ethical dilemmas that accountants sometimes face include conflicts of interest, illegal or fraud lent activities and manipulation of financial statements.

AN  EXAMPLE  OF  INFOSYS COMPANY:-

"Ethical employees' of Infosys discover accounting irregularities, seek action."

  • These employees accuse the CEO and CFO of the company of dressing up the accounts statements to make the company's performance look good.

"Ethical employees", a group of anonymous Infosys employees, has accused the information technology  company's CEO and CFO. They are knowingly producing wrong accounting standards and they were trying to cover up accounting irregularities. The group claims to have the evidence required to verify the allegations . The complaint is being examined and looked into by the Audit Committee in keeping with the organisation's standard practice.

  1. One of the allegations made is that Infosys is not recognising visa costs totally, just to improve margins, which was an issue highlighted by the auditors too..
  2.  Another allegation is that CEO bypassed reviews and approvals in order to obtain large deals without making the sufficient disclosures to the board members. 
By knowing these allegations, get to know that the auditors are not doing their job properly and many issues have been kept hidden from them and the  anonymous "ethical employees" have requested the board to investigate the matter and take immediate action...
So, This was the unethical issue that the company Infosys is manipulating the books of accounts just to make the company's performance good...
